Delegation of Central Government Employees Welfare Housing Organisation allottees meet Governor

Chandigarh November 6, 2016. A delegation of the Group Co-operative Housing Societies met Sh. V. P. Singh Badnore, the Governor of Punjab and Administrator of Chandigarh, at Punjab Raj Bhavan last evening and submitted him a Memorandum demanding that the Administration should not change the Stamp Duty again on the transfer of flats in the name of original allottees by the Central Government Employees Welfare Housing Organisation because the stamp duty has already been paid on the transfer of the entire land on which these flats were constructed, at the time when this land was sold to the society. The delegation was led by Sh. Davesh Moudgil. Sr. Deputy Mayor and consisted of Sh. K. S. Dhaliwal, Sh. V.K. Bansal, Sh. V.P. Saini, Sh. U.K. Bassi, Sh. P.J. S. Bhamra.

Sh. Davesh Moudgil. Sr. Deputy Mayor told the media persons outside Punjab Raj Bhavan that the Administrator gave them a very patient hearing and assured them that he will get the issue examined by the officers of the local Administration.
